Tarrant Keyneston

Tarrant Keyneston is a small parish on the main Blandford to Wimborne road.  As with most of the Tarrant villages, the first part of its name is from the small river which flows though the village and the second part of the name is from the local  lord of the manor.  In this case it comes from De Cahaigne, the name later became Anglicised to Kaynes.  This family lived here in the C12th.

Starting in October, the churches of Keyneston and Rushton are to hold joint lay led services.  These will be held on every second Sunday of the month.  Everyone is welcome to these services which will be suitable for adults and children.  Please find the dates for these services below.  We do hope that you will support this new venture.
